Fall Farm Shenanigans

Happy Blogtober part two!

What better than a traditional festive farm day to celebrate the lovely, magical, delightful, thrilling month of October? After nearly a week of non-stop rain, the sun decided to spread its rays around Bucks County at last. Of course that means time to fill up on vitamin D….specifically fall, farm vitamin D heated to 75 degrees Fahrenheit. By the way, the best-kept secret to October-ing the right way is to go to the local farm or orchard on a week afternoon. You will pretty much have the place to yourself and it is very peaceful!

Apple picking is an obvious must. Apples and peanut butter are my go-to snack of choice, but I also love baking apples or warming them on the stovetop. I particularly love the way they smell when simmering on the stove or baking in the oven…..it takes me back to childhood!

After picking some apples and investigating the pumpkin patch, the only way to conclude the experience was with a hand-dipped caramel apple!

What About You?

Do you have any favorite fall traditions like apple picking or visiting the farm? If so, what are some ways you like to use your apples? I would love to know!
