Hey, hey! I thought it would be fun to do a little editorial-style roundup of some random things that I’ve been loving lately. I personally enjoy reading these sorts of posts and wanted to try my hand at it.

1.) Colored eyeliners

I am all about colored eyeliners these days! Because I have brown eyes, I like to be a little more adventurous with liner colors and prefer to wear shades of green, teal and purple as opposed to more natural brown or black tones. Granted, this is on the days I bother to wear makeup at all! But it is super fun and I’m getting better at it. I specifically love this NYX epic wear waterproof liner collection and they have so many fun colors for spring and summer.

2.) Vanilla Honey Almond milk

I discovered this Almond Breeze Hint of Honey Vanilla Almondmilk the other week and it is SOOOO GOOD!!!! I love adding it to coffee, tea or my hot chocolates each evening because it gives just a little something extra.

3.) spring flowers

Spring is like eye candy everywhere. The brightest and most colorful flowers just pop out of nowhere and it reminds me of a candy shop. My personal favorites right now are colored tulips, pink hyacinths and purple azaleas.

4.) Disneyville podcast

One of my favorite Disney YouTubers and his wife recently started a Disney podcast called Disneyville. It’s a lengthy, detailed podcast that goes into depths about the Disney parks and I really look forward to listening to each new episode. 5.) acrylic pour

Acrylic pour is a paint medium I have long been curious about and recently started experimenting with. And….it is probably my absolute favorite ever! If you want to see some of my works, check out my SHOP page where I have tons of digital prints made from acrylic pours pieces.

6.) pink sapphire ring

For my birthday this past February, the one thing I really wanted was a pink sapphire ring. I have no idea where that desire came from or exactly what inspired it, but I just had my heart set on one. Initially I picked out one on Etsy that my mom ordered for me, but it ended up not being totally right or the quality I wanted, so I used some of my birthday money on this ring from Kay Jewelers. It was just nice enough to be special but still affordable and fine for daily use and I LOVE it. Apparently the color of 2023 is magenta, so I guess I’m on trend?

7.) taking my cat outside

The best part about this amazing spring weather is taking Bella on little treks outside! I like to sit out on our front porch and tie her little leash up to the post and let her relax out there while I get work done or read. She LOVES being outside and I never want her to feel trapped indoors. But sometimes I have to keep a close eye on her.

8.) Romans series

My church has been going through the book of Romans since the beginning of the year and I have truly gotten so much out of this series. Romans is such a great book to go through in this depth because there are so many foundational aspects of faith laid out in that book. In fact, when I first became interested in faith back in college, Romans was the first book I studied through on my own and it really helped me understand what the gospel actually meant. 9.) these lip products

Spring is such a great time to mix up the makeup look and I have enjoyed wearing some more coral and pink lip tones. This Burt’s Bees tinted lip balm in Hibiscus is my favorite right now—it’s so moisturizing and gives a nice pop of color. I also like using this coral lip liner with it!

10.) plaid

I am somewhat plaid and flannel obsessed these days. I realized I won’t stop collecting plaid or flannel clothes until I have just about every shade out there. A great place to get good flannel or plaid tops is from local thrift shops! The best thing I find about them is that you can throw on a plaid or flannel button-down to instantly style up any basic outfit and it also gives the immediate feeling of coziness.
